Mickey Pearce first made a name as Shortstuff, back in 2009, when people were still asking stupid questions like what do you call it? He released records on Ramp Recordings and Punch Drunk, before establishing his own label and signing early material from Bok Bok and Dark Sky.
Never happy unless being truly original, Mickey released his last record under the Shortstuff moniker in summer 2010 and retreated to the studio, only popping up for select remix duties. 12 months on, having found a new home on Loefah’s Swamp 81 label, 2012 is the start of something altogether different.
